DESCRIPTION

BEAUTIFUL OCEAN FRONT HOME offering spectacular views of the nearby Cape Arago Lighthouse, rocky headlands, pristine beaches, and rolling surf. To the north are the Harbor Jetties and bar entrance where large Ocean-Going Ships, Tug boats, Barges And Fishing Boats create A Marine Panorama right in front of our windows.

THE HOME SITS ON ITS OWN POINT and is architect-designed with large windows in each room to offer ocean and beach views that can be enjoyed from inside the home regardless of the weather. Winter storm watching can be relaxing when accompanied by a cheerful fire in the fireplace.....

WHALES are sometimes seen during the annual migrations in winter. Gorgeous sunsets and skies over the ocean take ones breath away. Any time the waves are right, you may see Surf-boarders and possibly kayakers in wet suits due to the coolish Pacific waters.

The home has its own STAIRWAY down to the semi-private 1/2 mile long beach. There are tide pools to explore for shells and drift wood. Picnicking and camp fires are permitted on the beach. Each high and low tide changes the beach, but there is usually plenty of clean sand for sand castle building and children's play.

When the surf is moderate or calm, there is GOOD wading and swimming for supervised children, as there is a very gradual sloping bottom to the beach. At high tides and storms, which occur mostly in winter, everyone should observe safety precautions, and watch from above.

Other beautiful beaches and State parks in the immediate area give a variety of activities, rock formations and marine life such as seals, sea lions and sea birds like gulls and pelicans. There are scenic hiking trails along the cliffs between some beaches.

The BOTANICAL GARDENS at Shore Acres State Park offer year-round enjoyment, including a spectacular Christmas Light Display for the holiday season. The small fishing town of Charleston is only two miles or 5 minutes drive away. It has Seafood Markets, Restaurants, Grocery Stores and also Charter Boats at the interesting docks of the Boat Basin.

The larger cities of Coos Bay and North Bend are only 20 minutes away and have more shopping, and entertainment, as well as the Bay Area Hospital and physician's clinics.
